Satish Chandra Basu Roy

Satish Chandra Basu Roy was a revolutionary freedom fighter of India. He was born on 23.10.1909 at Bamanhat, gaibandha, Rangpur, now in Bangladesh. He was son of Priyanath Basu Roy. He belonged to Yugantar Party. He was arrested in connection with Naldanga Action, and subsequently sentenced to ten years prison term in the Action case and another ten years under Arms and Explosives substance act, and the sentences were to run concurrently. He was deported to Andamans jail where he took part in second hunger strike. He was repatriated in November 1937, and finally released in 1939. His total jail period was about six years.
