Our country is at a critical juncture in its history. Our people and our leaders sacrificed a lot to get our country free from British and other colonial rule. But as our republic is maturing, another kind of subordination is threatening our country and the future of our coming generation. This is the subordination of our nation in front of corporate finance capital and communal fascism.

On the concluding day of the Bank strike on March 16, there was enthusiasm among not only the employees but millions all over the country. The participation was hundred percent, on both the days. About future course of action, they have told the government that if the privatisation bid is not rolled back, they would launch an agitation that would be as massive and long drawn as the one by the farmers.

Around a million bank employees and officers went on a two-day strike on March 15 and 16 all over the country against the privatisation of public sector banks. The following day, March 17, General Insurance employees struck work and the next day, on March 18, employees of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) will go on strike.

Trespass is a word of disapproval. It is even illegal when one tries to enter into the areas over which other’s have legal rights. Usurpation of the legal rights, or even fundamental rights of the citizens, are generally executed by autocratic rulers acquiring those rights by getting new legislations passed in the legislature. Such an act is worst form of moral trespass, since it blocks all remedies for the victim.
