Anjan Roy - 2016-10-22 16:40
At the end of the third debate between the presidential candidates in the US, what is becoming increasingly clear is that the race might go in favour of Hillary Clinton and the financial markets are pricing in latter’s victory in their calculations. What does that mean?

RSS ADJUSTING TO CHANGE OF TIMES

NEW SHORTS INDICATE THAT SANGH HAS ARRIVED
Harihar Swarup - 2016-10-22 16:37
For a very long time, the ‘kickers’ of the RSS have been ridiculed. Now the blooming shorts have been replaced by khaki pants. For a long time, knickers have had an intriguing hold over the media. A few years ago, there was chatter that blooming shorts would be replaced which has been done now. It was conjectured that the organization was planning to update its look to appeal to the young. The routine criticism of khaki shorts has had little influence over members of the RSS. Queries of change of attires have always been met with bemusement. It would surprise RSS baiters that sartorial ridicule elicit mirth and not self-censure.

K R Sudhaman - 2016-10-20 19:04
The recent BRICS summit at Goa has taken several far-reaching decisions to boost economic cooperation among the five-nation grouping but has gone largely unnoticed because of the obsession in the media on the issue of terrorism. Combating terrorism is critical to economic well being but tackling it alone will not lead to progress and prosperity.

MODI SARKAR RESURRECTS RAM, NOW AS MUSEUM

BRACE FOR BJP’S HINDUTVA PACKAGE TOUR IN UP
Kalyani Shankar - 2016-10-20 19:01
What is the politics behind the Union government’s proposal to construct a multi-crore futuristic Ramayana museum in Ayodhya? With Uttar Pradesh going to polls early next year, the mythological Ram is back in the political discourse fighting the BJP’s battle with the political parties. BJP of course denies that it is a political agenda but is this for vote catching or is it for promotion of tourism as claimed or is it to satisfy the BJP’s core voters?

The spectre of Dr Mohammad Najibullah Ahmadzai, the last communist president of Afghanistan, haunts the dens of increasingly isolated CIA-propped Islamic terrorists. Najibullah and his brother Shahpur Ahmadzai were killed by Afghan Talibans on the 26th of September 1996 in the UN compound in Kabul city, castrated openly on 27 September 1996 by the Talibans who dragged their bloodied body behind a truck through the streets of Kabul and got them hung from a pole, where it remained for more than a day.

P. Sreekumaran - 2016-10-18 11:58
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The crisis arising from the resignation on nepotism charges, of Industries Minister E P Jayarajan, has blown over thanks to the deft handling of the situation by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The Chief Minister took the wind out of the Opposition sails by promptly asking Jayarajan to resign. A firm directive from CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury that nothing short of resignation would do, also helped to tide over the crisis.
