2024 LOK SABHA ELECTION VERDICT: ONE STEP FORWARD BUT FIGHT TO GO ON

INDIA BLOC PARTIES HAVE TO SHOW BETTER COORDINATION IN THE COMING DAYS
P. Sudhir - 2024-06-06 12:57
The verdict of the 2024 Lok Sabha election is remarkable for the assertion by the people that they value democracy and the constitution. The people have deprived the BJP of an absolute majority, something which it had achieved both in 2014 and 2019. The BJP’s tally has come down from 303 seats to 240 seats – a 21 per cent reduction. NDA has won 292 seats while the INDIA bloc has got 234 seats.

DESPITE TWIN POLL VICTORIES, RAHUL STICKS TO GRASSROOT PARTY REVAMP

While Narendra Modi’s declaration that he would be sworn for the third time as the prime minister has enthused his bhakts, it has, at the same time, disenchanted the top RSS leaders as they feel that this message is primarily aimed at insulting them and cast the organisation in poor light. These leaders also share the view that the main person who has been responsible for turning Modi into a Frankenstein, is none else but the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.

MODI 3 GOVERNMENT’S FATE DEPENDS TO A GREAT EXTENT ON HIS FUTURE MOVES

Chandrababu Naidu is no ‘Comeback Kid’, not at his age. The only ‘kid’ in today's Andhra Pradesh is Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan, the Telugu actor who played a stellar role in bringing together the Telugu Desam Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party. If any title fits Chandrababu Naidu, it is that of ‘Mr. Negotiator’. The Jena Sena is part of the NDA but, if there is a weak link, it is Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party along with Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal-U.

POST ELECTORAL REVERSE, BLAME GAME STARTS IN WEST BENGAL UNIT OF BJP

MODI-SHAH ACOLYTE SUBHENDU ADHIKARI UNDER FIRE FROM ORIGINAL BJP RANKS

With only 12 seats in its kitty even after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pre-poll announcement that BJP will give its best election performance in West Bengal, it is blame game time in the state saffron camp now. Chary of criticising the prime minister, factional feud has raised its head in the BJP state unit with former state chief Dilip Ghosh's coterie shooting its sharpest barbs at existing state unit head Sukanta Majumdar and leader of the Opposition, (LoP) Subhendu Adhikari.

MODI’S COMMENT THAT THE WORLD DID NOT KNOW ABOUT GANDHI TILL 1982, IS A MOCKERY OF HISTORY

RSS AND BJP HAVE ALWAYS BEEN AT WAR WITH MAHATMA AND HIS FREEDOM STRUGGLE
Krishna Jha - 2024-06-06 12:41
An evening on January 30, 1948, Sun was setting and Gandhi was entering the prayer meeting when suddenly Godse started firing at him. After three shots, Bapu was crumbling, looking at his murderer with immense love and forgiveness, on his lips were only two words, “Hey Ram”. He had no complaints against anybody.

IN 2024 LOK SABHA POLLS, LEFT WIN IN BIHAR AND RAJASTHAN IS SIGNIFICANT

PRESENCE OF REAL MASS LEADERS IN HOUSE IS SURE TO IMPART NEW DIMENSION
Nitya Chakraborty - 2024-06-05 12:09
The 2024 Lok Sabha elections have brought some cheers to the Left block comprising CPI, CPI(M) and the CPI(ML)-L as after a long gap, three members have been elected from the Hindi heartland states- two from Bihar belonging to the CPI(ML)-L and one from Rajasthan belonging to the CPI(M). The total strength of the Left block has gone up to eight from the 2019 figure of five- meaning an increase by three seats. But these three seats have great political significance in the present turbulent situation in the country.

A BITTER SUCCESS AND A SWEETENED MISS: BEAUTIFUL VERDICT OF THE 2024 ELECTIONS

POLITICALLY MATURE VOTERS REJECT ARROGANCE AND HATE-BASED CAMPAIGNING
K Raveendran - 2024-06-05 12:06
A success that tasted bitter and a loss that couldn’t be sweeter. This is the beautiful verdict that the people of India have handed to the parties in the 2024 elections. A big salute to the wisdom and maturity of the Indian electorate. They have once again proclaimed they can never be taken for granted.

CONGRESS ON THE RIGHT TRACK, BUT NEEDS ORGANISATIONAL FINETUNING

PARTY HAS TO SHOULDER BIGGEST RESPONSIBILITY WITHIN INDIA BLOC
Dr. Gyan Pathak - 2024-06-05 12:03
Indian National Congress (INC) has finally come on the right track, as the Lok Sabha Election 2024 results show. The party that had touched its nadir in 2014 by winning only 44 seats, was somehow able to push up its tally by only 8 seats to 52 in 2019, has now shown an impressive performance by winning 99 seats. It was expected to perform better, but its organisational weaknesses bogged it down. It obviously needs an urgent finetuning, so that it may shoulder greater responsibilities in INDIA bloc.

2024 VERDICT AGAINST MODI-SHAH’S POLITICS OF CRONY-CAPITALIST HINDUTVA

RURAL POOR SAVE CONSTITUTION, INTENSE CLASS BATTLES AHEAD
Arun Srivastava - 2024-06-05 11:59
Ayodhya, symbol of RSS’s Hindutva renaissance, did not respond to the call of the so-called Hindu Hridaya Samrat, Narendra Modi, and instead voted for 79-year-old veteran Dalit leader, belonging to Pasi caste, Awadesh Prasad. In a single stroke, the voters of Ayodhya shattered two myths: Modi’s consecration of Ram temple miserably failed to arouse Hindutva passion among the Hindus; and secondly, it also shattered the myth of Modi being the only face of Hindutva.
