A database launched today by the Stolen Asset Recovery (StAR) Initiative, a joint program of the World Bank Group and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) shows that stolen money of proceeds from corruption deposited in foreign banks can be returned to the country of origin if the country concerned wants to recover them.
