New York: The number of people in Ethiopia who will need food assistance this year has risen to 5.2 million, an increase of several hundred thousand from estimates released just two months ago by United Nations relief agencies and the Horn of Africa nation's Government.

New Delhi: The President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Horst Kohler concludes his official visit to India on Wednesday without signing of any MoU or agreement between the two countries. The reasons cited by the German side is that agreements on counter terrorism, energy and technology cooperation, social security and a MoU on corporate social responsibility was slated to be signed between the two countries, but none of these were ready for signature.
