RSS-BACKED CAPITALIST CLASS INTERESTS THREATENED BY FARMERS

‘DILLI CHALO’ EXPOSES MODI GOVERNMENT’S STAKE IN CORPORATE HINDUTVA
Arun Srivastava - 2024-02-16 12:03
The “Dilli Chalo” march by the farmers is not merely a long-walk to urge the Narendra Modi government to meet their demands, primary being law on minimum support price for crops and loan waivers. Instead, it personifies the biggest class conflict between the corporate sector embodying the capitalist economy bourgeoning under Narendra Modi’s right-wing government and the land-owning peasant class.

WITH THOUSANDS OF KISANS ON BORDER, WILL THE CENTRE TAKE TALKS TO ITS LOGICAL CONCLUSION
Sushil Kutty - 2024-02-16 12:01
Amidst the standoff at the many border crossings that open up the doors to Delhi, Punjab farmer leader Jagjit Dallewal spoke of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “rising graph” and the Congress defended him his right to air his political views and not be labelled “anti-national” for that. The Bharatiya Janata Party couldn’t be happier, so long as it related to Modi’s popularity. The 'Modi graph' remained in circulation for the better part of the day and night on February 15.

IN PRESENT ORDER OF CAPITALISM, BOTH FASCIST AND NON-FASCIST POWERS SUPPRESSING WORKING CLASS

THERE IS NO SCOPE FOR MORALITY IN THE ACTIONS OF THE RIGHT WING GOVERNMENTS GLOBALLY
Prabhat Patnaik - 2024-02-16 10:53
In The Junius Pamphlet written from jail in 1915, Rosa Luxemburg had said that the choice before mankind was between barbarism and socialism. Liberal opinion would contest this, arguing that the barbarism that marked the two world wars and the period in between was unrelated to capitalism; indeed the liberal tendency that comes to the fore under capitalism, it would claim, fought against the barbarism of that period. Capitalism, it would assert, has been characterised by the ascendancy of humane values to an unprecedented extent, as the post-war years have shown.

COLOMBIA’S RIGHT IS TRYING TO “SOFT COUP” PRESIDENT GUSTAVO PETRO

COUNTRY’S FIRST LEFT WING GOVT FACING COMBINED THREAT FROM RICH AND DRUG CARTELS
Carlos Cruz Mosquera - 2024-02-16 10:48
It was expected that Colombia’s elites, who had enjoyed a monopoly over the state for two hundred consecutive years up until twenty months ago, would attempt to obstruct the left-wing President Gustavo Petro’s administration. This effort to undermine the process of change mandated by the majority of Colombians has involved everything from misinformation campaigns to the blocking of policies in Congress — but there have also been more direct and sophisticated strategies to overthrow the progressive project.
