He showed firmness in liberating Goa from Portugal
ASHOK B SHARMA - 2009-11-14 10:59
Today the world leaders are desperate to bail out the economy from the current financial crisis by pumping in billions of dollars. Political Correspondent - 2009-11-14 10:11
Pranab Mukherjee is the most authentic voice of the UPA government. After the G-20 meeting, he has categorically discounted all fears of a conflict with China. The government is increasingly under pressure to build new military bases and move SU fighters to the border. Then there are suggestions like the use of 'Tibet card' and emergency defence allocations to counter the dragon.

Balraj Mehta - 2009-11-14 10:07
The promises of revival of economic growth by the UPA government leadership are devoid of conviction as well as credibility. This is evident from the growing fiscal deficit and foreign debt under its dispensation. In a desperate bid it has decided to sell the shares of profit-making public sector undertakings to raise funds for providing “stimulus” to private corporations, both Indian and foreign, and open the door l wider for the multinational corporations.

CONSOLIDATION WILL BE GOOD FOR THE INDUSTRY
Nantoo Banerjee - 2009-11-13 04:27
Telecom czar Sunil Mittal's sudden outburst against growing competition in the cellular mobile phone service business is shocking and uncalled for. It is true that Bharti's revenues and bottom line are under stress for the first time since some of its rivals, especially those which arrived late, are making more attractive tariff offers to customers to make their presence felt in the business.
