Arun Kumar Shrivastav - 2023-05-23 13:12
Thailand's Move Forward party just signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with coalition partners after achieving an unexpected victory in the May 14 general election. The MOU serves as a framework for the coalition government, outlining 23 key agendas that the parties agree to work on collectively. Pita Limjaroenrat, the leader of Move Forward, emphasised that the MOU reflects the shared responsibilities of the coalition parties and their commitment to advancing the agreed-upon agendas through governmental and parliamentary mechanisms.

2024 PRESIDENTIAL POLL IN US MAY TURN INTO A REFERENDUM ON DONALD TRUMP

AMERICANS ARE UNEASY WITH TWO OLD CONTENDERS BUT BIDEN HAS AN EDGE
Debabrata Biswas - 2023-05-23 13:07
A 2024 presidential election featuring president Joe Biden against former president Donald Trump would be a “rematch from hell" - former Republican congressman Will Hard said - "The reality is two third Americans want somebody else". There's evidence to support Hard's argument that another presidential election featuring Biden and Trump is unpopular among most Americans, Democrats or Republicans, according to recent polls. But right now, unfortunately, both the candidates are polling well ahead of the others in their respective party's field and a rematch seems quite possible.

Anjan Roy - 2023-05-23 13:04
The global financial circles are agog with speculation about the prospects of the US government defaulting on its payments. This is because the two major parties in America have so far failed to agree on raising the ceiling of US government borrowing.

Girish Linganna - 2023-05-23 13:01
The leaders of the QUAD group—Australia, India, Japan and the United States—who had gathered in Hiroshima for a Group of 7 summit, delivered a thinly veiled swipe at Beijing’s behaviour at a summit in Hiroshima on Saturday (May 20, 2023).

CONGRESS HAS TO JOIN OPPOSITION WHOLEHEARTEDLY TO OPPOSE ORDINANCE ON DELHI

LOCAL POLITICAL COMPULSIONS SHOULD NOT COME IN THE WAY OF BACKING THE BATTLE OF AAP
Sushil Kutty - 2023-05-23 11:58
Nobody can put a knife to the Congress party’s throat and compel it to stand with the Aam Aadmi Party against the Modi government’s ordinance which returned control of “services” – postings and transfers – to the Lt. Governor after a couple of days of celebrations over the Supreme Court verdict that gave the AAP government control over everything except land, police and public order. Last heard Rahul Gandhi’s party hadn’t yet decided to join hands with AAP and fight the ordinance.

CONGRESS CAN TAKE LESSONS FROM INDIRA’S CHIKMAGALURU VICTORY TO SUCCEED IN 2024 POLLS

KARNATAKA WIN HAS SET THE PACE BUT MORE HURDLES TO BE CROSSED BEFORE LOK SABHA ELECTIONS
Kalyani Shankar - 2023-05-23 11:56
Dame Luck smiles at every Party at a particular moment. The 137-year Grand Old Congress Party, which has seen many ups and downs, is no exception. Winning a prosperous and significant Karnataka recently gave Congress that golden moment. If Congress wants to revive itself, it can't sit on the laurels of recent triumph.

IT IS STRANGE, EVEN AFTER ONE MONTH OF DHARNA, WFI PRESIDENT IS MOVING FREE

BJP’S MUSCLEMAN MP BRIJ BHUSAN SINGH IS BEYOND ALL LAWS OF MODI GOVT
Sushil Kutty - 2023-05-22 16:29
How many of us were aware of the President of the Wrestling Federation of India before the name resounded in ugly resonance from Jantar Mantar in New Delhi? Hardly any beyond maybe 10 lakhs, 20-30-40-50 lakhs, perhaps one-two crores – the sort of people who vote for candidates in assembly and parliamentary elections regardless of the candidates’ credentials, good or bad – even those with horrible criminal records.

RULING PARTY AT THE CENTRE WANTS TO DEPRIVE CONGRESS POSSIBILITY OF GETTING A PART OF BLACK FUNDS
Arun Srivastava - 2023-05-22 16:26
Demonetisation was not an economic move instead it had a political dimension tossed by a politician which had the worst nature of economic consequences. If it would have been conceived and designed by one or a group of economists, it would have had the element of constructive nature.

MOST DISTRICT PARTY UNITS ARE NON-FUNCTIONAL, CLAIMS FORMER STATE CHIEF DILIP GHOSH
Tirthankar Mitra - 2023-05-22 16:23
Cracks are discernible in BJP's West Bengal unit. After a communication gap between the leadership and the rank and file has been voiced by the party's national vice-president Dilip Ghosh, it cannot be dismissed as a canard of Trinamool Congress or Left.
