WORKFORCE BEING CRUSHED BETWEEN INFLATION AND JOBLESSNESS

MODI GOVT’S WRONG POLICIES MAY FURTHER AGGRAVATE THE SITUATION
Dr. Gyan Pathak - 2022-05-14 11:40
Workforce in India is being crushed between inflation and joblessness chiefly on account of wrong policy stance of the Narendra Modi government and the pandemic may be just an additional excuse. Retail inflation (CPI) in April soared to a 8-year high, ie the entire period of Modi Raj, and touched 7.79 per cent as against 8.3 per cent in May 2014, which he had strongly criticized during his election campaign. In place of the promise of providing one crore job every year, his government actually delivered unprecedented level of joblessness in decades, further exacerbated by the pandemic.

In a Batch of petitions challenging the law of sedition, contained in section 124A of the Indian Penal Code, the Supreme Court on Wednesday issued a slew of interim directions. NO BULLDOZER RAJ, COUNTRYMEN WANT SHELTER FOR POOR AND MIGRANTS

IN THE 75TH YEAR OF INDEPENDENCE, MODI GOVERNMENT HAS TO TAKE A HUMAN APPROACH
Krishna Jha - 2022-05-13 08:17
The 75th year of Indian independence, which the government named as 'Amrith Kaal' is marked by the growl of the bulldozers. It has become a day-to-day affair in the national capital where the authorities come with bulldozers to the neighbourhood of Delhi where the poor people dwell in huge numbers. Jahangirpuri, Govindpuri, Shaheenbagh, Sarojini Nagar- thus the list grows. It shows the class character of the RSS - BJP government and its approach to the concerns of the poor. Shelter is a fundamental right of every human being living on this earth. For the BJP, that is easily forgettable if the victims are poor or Muslims. This is an outrageous violation of Article 21 of the constitution.

IMMEDIATE CORRECTIVES ARE NEEDED TO BRIDGE THE KNOWLEDGE DEFICIT
K R Sudhaman - 2022-05-13 07:30
Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das said recently it will spill over to next decade for the Indian economy to recover the losses that had resulted to the economy as a result of the Covid Pandemic during the last two odd years. Now the economy has started recovering not only in India but also globally even though the pace is uneven. It has also posed new dangers to macro-economic fundamentals particularly Inflation which has, strangely, become both demand and supply driven. But one area where not much attention has been given is the impact of covid on education particularly school education. Extremism ruins couple of generations as it impacts working age group.
