Sushil Kutty - 2022-02-18 10:50
As usual Prime Minister Narendra Modi chose to field a cabinet minister to field questions posed to him on his government and his governance style. In the latest such instance, it was former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who forced Modi to cringe. The famously “quiet” Singh descended on Prime Minister Modi’s boasts and barbs against Nehru and Indira Gandhi like a tonne of bricks, targeting the Prime Minister for “blaming the first Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru for its failed policies.”

MORE AMERICAN FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT TO INDIA EXPECTED IN COMING FISCAL

CHINA FACTOR IS PLAYING A ROLE IN DIVERTING SOME INVESTMENT OF US COMPANIES
Subrata Majumder - 2022-02-17 16:19
India’s fiscal budget for 2022-23 drew much despair and less cheer. It was alleged to miss counter measures to ebb inflation and generate more employment opportunities. Budget poured little for poor and middleclass. Little was made to create demand. No tax relief for resilience to pandemic. Marginal increases in education and healthcare expenditures. Food subsidy halved. Stock market tumbled. Paranoia raised over economy tending towards K-shape, which means rich becoming richer and the poor poorer during pandemic.

By then in three states Goa, Uttarakhand and Punjab, the polling will be completed. Only two states Uttar Pradesh and Manipur will be left.
