Sushil Kutty - 2022-02-19 11:19
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has promised Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi that he will “personally look into” former AAP leader Kumar Vishwas’s allegations that Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal sups with terrorists and separatists and wanted to become “first Prime Minister of Khalistan.”

INDIAN CONSTITUTIONAL ETHICS INCLUDING SECULARISM ARE UNDER ATTACK

CONGRESS PARTY’S IDEOLOGICAL MOORINGS HAVE WEAKENED LETTING BJP RISE
Arun Srivastava - 2022-02-19 11:16
Narendra Modi ever since he came to occupy the office of prime minister has been insinuating worst nature of jibe against Jawahar Lal Nehru. This is the greater part of the RSS design to portray Nehru as an enemy of Hindus. RSS for pretty long time has been presenting secularism as a decadent concept and idea.

BJP CHIEF MINISTERS WILL BE FOLLOWING THE SAME COURSE IN THEIR STATES
Kavita Krishnan - 2022-02-19 11:12
To understand the true meaning of the ‘hijab issue’ playing out in Karnataka and other states, one only needs to pay close attention to the way in which it is being invoked in poll-bound states by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders aiming to create and consolidate a Hindu vote-bank.

UNITED STATES RAMPS UP WAR TALK AS IT POINTS MORE MISSILES AT RUSSIA

PRESIDENT BIDEN RETAINS WAR HYSTERIA AS PUTIN OFFERS PEACE TALKS
John Wojcik - 2022-02-18 12:08
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken went on national television Thursday morning to declare, again, that a Russian invasion of Ukraine could start at any moment. His dire prediction was yet another in the endless string of declarations by the U.S. that war could start at any moment. It followed by only a day the passing of February 16, the date the U.S. said last week would be the day of a likely Russian invasion.

UKRAINE CRISIS HAS EXPOSED THE REAL GAME PLAN OF UNITED STATES GOVT

SOLUTION LIES IN STARTING TALKS ON THE BASIS OF 2015 MINSK AGREEMENT
Prakash Karat - 2022-02-18 12:05
The inception of the current crisis on Ukraine lies in the continuing eastward expansion of NATO. Contrary to what was promised to Russia by the United States in the post-Soviet period that NATO would not expand eastward, all the East European countries and the Baltic states, which were part of the Warsaw Treaty were brought into the NATO. Russia now fears that Ukraine and Georgia, that were part of the Soviet Union, are next in line. Having NATO on its borders is seen as a direct security threat to Russia.

WIDENING OF INEQUALITY IS A NATURAL CONSEQUENCE OF CAPITALIST PLANNING

SOCIALIST SOCIETY EVEN THREE DECADES AGO WAS FAR MORE EQUAL COMPARED TO WEST
Prabhat Patnaik - 2022-02-18 12:02
Much has been written about the immense increase in economic inequality that has occurred of late and various startling figures have been provided by bodies like Oxfam, which has just come out with a report titled Inequality Kills. This shows that the wealth of the 10 richest men has doubled since the pandemic began while the incomes of 99 per cent of the population of the world are lower today than before the pandemic. A mere 0.027 per cent of the world’s population is estimated to have owned a combined wealth of $45 trillion in 2020 which is more than 15 times the current Gross Domestic Product of India.

NARENDRA MODI MAGIC LOSING ITS SPELL IN THE ONGOING STATE ELECTIONS

TRENDS IN FIRST THREE PHASES GIVE ENOUGH INDICATION OF ANTI-INCUMBENCY
Partha S. Ghosh - 2022-02-18 10:58
First, it was the humiliating defeat of the BJP in the high-profile West Bengal election early last year. In his desperation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had even resorted to a vulgar campaign against the Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, but to no avail. Then came his unqualified surrender to the farmers sitting on the Uttar Pradesh-Haryana-Delhi border. Faced with their unstinting year-long agitation, he summarily withdrew the controversial farm laws.

UNEMPLOYMENT RATE DECLINE VEILS FRIGHTENING LEVEL OF JOBLESSNESS

PEOPLE PUSHED OUT OF JOB MARKET, CENTRE SAYS OPPORTUNITIES RISING
Dr. Gyan Pathak - 2022-02-18 10:53
The frightening reality of joblessness in India persists and millions of people have just stopped even searching for jobs. Modi government is playing with the data that showed a decline in the unemployment rate, and Union Minister of Labour and Unemployment Bhupender Yadav claimed employment opportunities were on the rise. It’s unfortunate that a mathematical fallacy that veils the frightening joblessness on the ground should be used by the Modi government without taking pains to understand it only to conceal its dismal performance while ignoring all suggestions for workforce centred economic recovery from the pandemic.
