INDIAN LEFT FACES A MASSIVE TASK TO FIGHT THE RSS-BJP REGIME AT CENTRE

UNITY OF SECULAR AND DEMOCRATIC FORCES IS THE NEED OF THE HOUR
D. Raja - 2021-09-14 09:46
The Communist movement in India is almost a century old now and remains an important actor in the Indian political scene. From fighting the British imperialists to the inequalities of the Indian society, the Communist Left is one force which was at the forefront of these struggles and gave it a progressive ideological shape. After Independence too, through its leadership of the working class, peasant, youth, students and women’s movements it continued to be a major progressive force and simultaneously some of the most outstanding interventions in parliamentary politics were made through stalwarts like Indrajit Gupta, Bhupesh Gupta and Geeta Mukherjee just to name a few. In these hundred years or so, Indian society has undergone major churnings and our future program should be based on the constantly evolving political situation around us.

INDIA BEGINS EXERCISE TO BAN VPN

M.Y.Siddiqui - 2021-09-14 03:45
An exercise is afoot in the Ministry of Home Affairs in tandem with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology to ban Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) following recommendations of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Technology. Ban on VPNs will be incursive to people’s fundamental right to privacy and impact adversely corporates as it obscures ones identity on the Internet. VPN services establish secure connections between users and servers or services by routing the data through a remote server/servers thus disguising the users’ identity. If Internet Protocol (IP) address is assigned, then it helps the law enforcement agencies to identify the server and for that matter user’s identity, whereas VPN server disguises the user’s identity. VPN servers from foreign soil allow users to bypass blocking rules by the government.VPN is known for security, reliability and speed, on every device, anywhere, one goes.
