Vijay Sanghvi - 2020-12-15 16:21
The NaMo fan club is busy these days in transmitting on the social media routes a list of achievements of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The message leaves an eerie feeling that like a magician NaMO moved magic wand and thirty achievements appeared in improving life in India. There is no reference to the base that the previous regimes laid in 70 years. In the list of his achievements is included the legislation to ban the prevalent custom of oral divorce to wives in the Muslim community. The item does not specify that six enlightened Muslim women had fought relentlessly the decade long legal battle to get the verdict as the final decree to get the oral divorce declared as illegal and invalid method. It ended the marital uncertainty in lives of the Muslim women especially in the economically weaker families.

NORMAN BODEK PLAYED A BIG ROLE IN MODERNISING MANUFACTURING PROGRAMME

A GREAT TEACHER AND INNOVATOR, HE WAS A GOOD FRIEND OF INDIAN INDUSTRY
T.V. Suresh - 2020-12-15 09:41
It was in the mid 1990s when I first met Norman. I was working as a Senior General Manager in an organization in Chennai, India. I was totally oblivious of the great revolution happening in the world driven by the methodologies developed in Japan. Norman loved India and would come here whenever he could. Without his spirit of selfless giving, I am sure the productivity of manufacturing companies in India would have been far lower today.

OWAISI SHOULD GIVE A NEW DIRECTION TO MUSLIM POLITICS IN INDIA

Arun Srivastava - 2020-12-15 09:34
The chief of Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Asaduddin Owaisi, gets angry when ever any one conjectures that MIM has been directly or indirectly helping the BJP in winning the elections and in return blames the Congress and other secular parties for neglecting the Muslim question. He may be right to some extent in impugning the Congress and other parties, but did he ever really did an introspection or soul searching to find out the real reason?

Anjan Roy - 2020-12-15 09:30
The union government is reportedly considering a change in the inflation targeting mechanism and to ask the Reserve Bank of India to dilute its hard core inflation targeting stance for formulation of monetary policy. The current mechanism for inflation targeting was introduced several years back when the parliament had mandated a broad inflation targeting band as the guiding principle for RBI’s monetary policy.
