Sons of Aditi were called Aditya.
According to Indian mythology, there are 12 Adityas, representing the Sun a month each in the Solar Calendar.
The twelve Adityas are -
Dhata, Mitra, Aryama, Rudra, Varun, Surya, Bhag, Vivasvan, Pusha, Savita, Tvashta, and Vaman.
It may be mentioned here that there were mention of only six Adityas - Mitra, Aryama, Bhag, Varun, Daksh, and Ansh in the Vedic literature.
It is therefore clear that the Sun God which we believe in is not the Sun as a physical object of matter of the universe.
