Anathematizing

Anathemmatizing is a process in a Christian church for excommunicating a person or denouncing a doctrine. It is also a formal curse or condemnation by a pope or a council of the church.

In common usage, anathematizing someone or something is vehemently disliking, cursing, or condemning.
