Aranya Kand is the third chapter of Ramayan by Valmiki.

It is also the third chapter of the Ramcharitmanas by Tulsidas.

There are also other versions of the story of Ram which contain Aranya Kand.

There are slight differences in various versions, however, the basic concept and the storyline is the same.

This section comes after Ayodhya Kand.

The story in this section begins from the departure of Ram, Lakshman and Sita from the hermitage of Atri and ends at their arrival at Pampa Sarovar.

Kishkindha Kand follows after that.
