Auguste-Marseille Barthélemy
Auguste-Marseille Barthélemy (1796-1867) was a French poet and politician, born at Marseilles. He was author of "Nemesis," and the best French translation of the "Æneid," in verse. He was an enemy of the Bourbons, an ardent Imperialist, and warm supporter of Louis Napoleon.Nearby pages
