Rupee

Rupee is the monetary unit of India. It is a coin and till recently it was available in paper currency. One rupee is equal to 100 paisa. Coins below 25-paisa value have lately been discontinued. 50-paisa coins are slowly disappearing from the market. There are very few places in the country where one can see 50-paisa coins in use. People generally refuse to take 50-paisa coins.
