BHOPAL: The Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party seems to have decided to woo the young voters. The state is to elect its new Vidhan Sabha in the month of November this year and since the last elections (2008), at least 30 lakh new, young voters have been added to the electorate. Besides youth the BJP has also announced a series of schemes to win over urban voters of the state.

Striking a hopeful note, IMF sees a “gradual strengthening” of global economy in the new year, as constraints on economic activity “start to ease”, and projects global growth at 3.5 per cent in 2013 from 3.2 per cent last year. In a New Year update, IMF, however, maintains broadly its earlier forecasts except in the euro area where mild recession will continue into 2013.

Turkmenistan keen on TAPI project

New Delhi: Turkmenistan has expressed its hope for an early completion of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gasline project. It has noted that significant progress has been made since the State visit of the Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to India in May 2010.
