PRIME MINISTER IS HAVING A PARANOIA OVER PREPARATIONS FOR G20 SUMMIT

BIZARRE DIRECTIVES ARE BEING GIVEN TO KEEP DELHI SAFE FOR PROJECTING MODI
Sushil Kutty - 2023-08-29 12:04
The paranoia is what you see. The reason why New Delhi has been shut tight and out of bounds for ordinary Indians. The Modi regime is convinced Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s adversaries will go to any extent to derail the G20 Summit to tarnish Modi’s reputation in the eyes of 20-plus heads of state, his 'friends".

BJP MANIFESTS SPINE-CHILLING SYMPTOMS BEFORE 2024 ELECTIONS

REFURBISHING NDA TO FACE INDIA ALLIANCE IS STILL A TOUGH TASK
Dr. Gyan Pathak - 2023-08-29 11:38
Spine-chilling causes and effects have emerged in the evolving tale of the two alliances in India. INDIA opposition alliance was born on June 23 at Patna Conclave with 16 anti-BJP political parties on board. The birth of INDIA alliance shook the BJP out of its overconfidence and complacency. Only a few days ahead of the already scheduled second meet of INDIA alliance on July 17-18 in Bengaluru, BJP announced an NDA meet on July 18 in Delhi, obviously in a show of strength, the same day on which INDIA constituents were scheduled to meet at Bengaluru.

JAYANTA MAHAPATRA HAS LEFT A LASTING LEGACY OF HIS POEMS ON PAIN AND LONGING

Tirthankar Mitra - 2023-08-29 10:56
Time was when Cuttack was a city in Odisha whose resident’s footprints in the Indian literary scene were nothing home to write about. One of its residents, Jayanta Mahapatra, an Indian poet writing in English changed the notion and more.

POLITICAL INTRUSION PUTS INDIAN HIGHER EDUCATION IN CRISIS

UNIVERSITY SYSTEM IS DOGGED BY CENTRE-STATE POWER TUSSLE
Nantoo Banerjee - 2023-08-28 12:05
The growing power tussle between the Centre and opposition-ruled states over the management control of the University Grants Commission-funded universities in states threatens to ruin the sanctity of the country’s higher education system. Chief ministers of a number of opposition states and centrally-appointed governors there are at loggerheads with each other over appointment of university vice-chancellors (VCs). Both sides want political appointees of their choice. Recently, Tamil Nadu’s state assembly passed two bills seeking to transfer the governor’s power in appointing VCs of 13 state universities to the state government. Last year, West Bengal’s state legislative assembly passed a bill to make the chief minister the chancellor of all state-run universities, replacing the governor. The bill is yet to get the governor’s consent. The states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Jharkhand and Rajasthan have laws that underline the need for concurrence between the state and the governor on the appointment of university VCs.

PRIME MINISTER COULD GIVE A BIG PUSH TO INDIA’S SUPPLY CHAIN AT BRICS MEETING

INDIA IS NOW BETTER PLACED TO EMERGE AS A LEADING MANUFACTURING HUB
Subrata Majumder - 2023-08-28 11:24
There has been growing debate on Prime Minister Narendra Modi assertion on resilient and inclusive supply chain in 15th BRICS summit, held at Johannesburg, leaving aside the major global issues. He led the global issues less focused in the summit which crippled world geo-politics and economic template, including long drawn Ukraine war, US-China face off, dragging US Dollar used as weapon for sanctions, traumatizing global energy balance and widening gulf between global west and south.

FOR ENSURING ‘SECURITY’ AT G20 MEETINGS, DELHI IS BEING CONVERTED INTO A POLICE STATE

LAST MINUTE POLISHING TO HIDE REAL FACE OF THE CAPITAL, IS GOING TO SERVE LITTLE PURPOSE
Sushil Kutty - 2023-08-28 11:19
Police state like conditions exist. In violence-hit Nuh, where there will be a G20 Sherpa meet, the communal environment has gone from bad to worse and the Manoharlal Khattar government appears to be in cahoots with the VHP. Never has India with her myriad of diversities stumbled from one lousy situation to another lousier situation. Journalists and other recording artists including the myriad of social media nuisance have cornered balcony seats to record disturbances under the plethora of ‘double-engine ki sarkar’.

RSS DESPERATE TO TAKE CONTROL OF KEY PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES

SANGHEYESNEW SET OF ACADEMICS TO IMPLEMENT HINDUTVA
Arun Srivastava - 2023-08-28 10:56
After making inroads into school education, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is striving to take control of higher education, particularly functioning of the universities. RSS has already set up Shiksha Bharti, an educational wing to control and define the school level education. However, it has also started the process for creating a separate wing to chalk out educational content and behaviour and to suggest policy decisions related to higher education.
