A technical adviser funded by the Central Bank of India (CBI) will be seconded to the Commonwealth Secretariat by October 2010 to work on projects which build the capacity of youth owned and operated businesses.

An IMF mission led by Mr. Subir Lall visited Seoul during June 23-July 6, 2010 to discuss with the authorities and other key counterparts recent economic developments and the outlook for Korea. The mission team would like to thank their counterparts for the productive and open engagement.

The banking sector remains sound overall, although the growth in non-performing loans calls for vigilance. Turning to medium-term prospects, containing the growth of public spending and enhancing wage flexibility are needed to boost productivity and improve growth.
