CENTRE PLAYS POLITICS WITH HIGHER ALLOCATION, BUT FAILS TO UTILISE FUNDS
Dr. Gyan Pathak - 2023-03-20 11:50
Despite the Constitution (Seventy-Third Amendment Act. 1992, which came into force w.e.f April 24, 1993, inserted Part IX in the Constitution of India and accorded Panchayats a Constitutional status as institutions of local self-governance for rural India, the Centre and States continue to interfere in the way of realizing this dream envisioned in the Constitution of India through non-devolution of powers, providing insufficient funds, playing politics through centrally or state sponsored schemes, and the worst allocating huge amounts in the budgets but remains unutilized.

KIREN RIJIJU’S COMMENT ON ‘FEW RETIRED JUDGES’ IS A CHALLENGE TO JUDICIARY

THIS UNION LAW MINISTER IS BREAKING ALL CONSTITUTIONAL NORMS TO BAT FOR RSS
Sushil Kutty - 2023-03-20 11:47
All retired judges currently alive and kicking should ask Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju to name the ”few retired judges” who are part of the “anti-India gang” that is undermining the Indian judiciary by asking it to play the role of the Opposition. The Law Minister must come clean and not bury his head in the sand like so many ostrich. If India is threatened by an “anti-India gang” aided and abetted by retired judges, it cannot be kept under wraps.

Debabrata Biswas - 2023-03-20 11:34
BOSTON: Donald Trump, on Saturday morning, March 18, posted a message on his social media platform Truth Social that "leading Republican candidate and former president of the United States (himself) will be arrested on Tuesday next week". The imminent arrest would be in connection to a year-long investigation by the Manhattan district attorney's office into a hush money scheme involving a porn film actress, Stormy Daniels. Trump also called for actions against his possible indictment calling his supporters to "protest, take our nation back". Trump complains privately that he believes he is going to be indicted only because, he thinks, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg “hates” him.

TIME TO FIX MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL STANDARD FOR LEGISLATORS, MINISTERS
Nantoo Banerjee - 2023-03-20 11:32
Notwithstanding Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s repeated statements during his recent tour in the UK saying that Indian democracy is under threat, the growing trend of elected political authoritarianism poses a big challenge to the system. The trend is also being witnessed in many other democracies outside the developed world. India would have performed much better but for its corrupt and family-controlled political parties finding comfort in democratic authoritarianism. Political parties in power for long tend to become highly authoritarian and corrupt. Their leaders are aided by undereducated and low quality legislators.
