Alexander II
Alexander II (1198-1249) was king of Scotland, successor of William the Lion (William I), his father. He was a just and wise ruler who ruled during 1214-49, aided the English barons against John, and married Joan, the sister of Henry III. He died in 1249.Nearby pages
