Ashok

Ashok, in Hindu mythology, was the name of a messenger in the court of king Dashrath.

After death of Dashrath, sage Vasishth sent him to the city of Rajgrih to recall prince Bharat to Ayodhya along with Vijay, Jayant, Nandan and Siddharth.

When the news of arrival of Lord Ram received by him, he asked the people of Ayodhya to prepare and welcome Lord Ram. Ashok went to the Nandigram to received lord Ram.
